On April 19, Xu Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Institute 704, and Li Jianming, Deputy Director of the Institute, led a team on an on-site inspection and research visit to various workshops within the company, gaining firsthand insights into the company’s product development efforts. Li Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board, and Lu Bin, Deputy General Manager, accompanied the delegation during the visit. At the symposium, Chairman Li Jie welcomed Secretary Xu and his delegation to the company for their inspection and research visit, and provided Secretary Xu with an overview of the company’s basic situation. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on how to promote high-quality integrated development of military and civilian products, and also held thorough discussions on future cooperation models, major military-civilian projects, and the recruitment of specialized technical personnel. Both sides expressed their hope that they would continue to collaborate effectively in their respective fields.

The company launches activities for National Security Education Day.
Recently, the company organized an event commemorating National Security Education Day in the auditorium on the third floor of the Comprehensive Building. More than 60 participants—including middle-level and senior managers as well as part-time security officers from various departments—attended the event. Comrade Li Jie, Chairman of the Board, Party Secretary, and Leader of the People’s Defense Line Working Group, attended the event and delivered an important speech. During the event, participants studied key remarks made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on national security; watched documentary clips such as “Espionage Is All Around Us,” “The Listener in the Mountains,” and “The Disguiser in the Barracks”; and took a test on national security and confidentiality knowledge. On March 30, 2018, the Party Committee and the Discipline Inspection Group of the company held a collective talk to provide integrity reminders to 17 newly appointed (including those transferred to important departments) mid-level cadres. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Bin, head of the stationed Discipline Inspection Group. The meeting organized the study of 12 relevant regulations and systems, including the "Code of Conduct for Integrity and Self-Discipline of the Communist Party of China," the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China," the Chongqing Hydraulic Mechanical-Electronical's "Several Provisions on Integrity in the Work of Mid-Level Leaders," the "Internal Bidding Management Measures," and the "Regulations on Handling Weddings, Funerals, and Celebratory Events by Leading Cadres," as well as the "Report on Disciplinary Inspections of the Group Corporation in 2017." The meeting aimed to educate and warn the attending cadres to abide by laws and regulations. The attending cadres also discussed their work within their respective departments.

On February 11, 2018, the second Spring Festival Fair of Chongqing Hydraulic Mechanical-Electronical kicked off at the basketball court. On January 12, the Party building work research and inspection team from the Chongqing company visited the company to conduct a survey and inspection of its Party building efforts. Members of the company’s Party Committee leadership team, secretaries of several Party branches, and staff from the Party and Mass Work Department attended the meeting. At the meeting, Wu Xiaochuan, head of the research and inspection team, first conveyed the relevant requirements and deployment arrangements from the higher-level Party committee and introduced to the participants the purpose and significance of this survey and inspection. Subsequently, Li Jie, Secretary of the company’s Party Committee and Chairman of the Board, on behalf of the company’s Party Committee, elaborated primarily on how the Party Committee has been studying, conveying, and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, putting into practice the spirit of the National Conference on Party Building in State-Owned Enterprises, fulfilling the Party building responsibility system, and promoting the “Two Studies, One Action” learning initiative.
